My kids will have to learn to drive manual. We have 3 vehicles and all are manual. RIP MY CLUTCHES.

DOOO EEETTT! My first car was a 2002 Impreza 2.5TS manual with a stick...I decreed my first car would be a manual and did not let up on it, haha. Had a few lessons with friends, didn’t do TERRIBLY, but was not amazing at it right away. Picked it up and drove it home by myself in rush hour traffic...that was an experience! :P

My ‘09 Accent is a stick as well...I will really miss driving a manual when it is no longer a thing anymore...

I was 21 when my girlfriend taught me to drive stick, and 23 when I bought my car (having not driven manual since she taught me). The key is to have a patient teacher (who could possibly be bribed to teach you), a quiet spot to practice, and patience yourself.

It’s not a big deal. I’d never really driven stick before I bought my Miata last year. I was 24 at the time.

Cool! I live in a small rural neighborhood that is relatively quiet, so I guess I got that covered. My dad has always been patient with me, heck he taught me how to drive an auto in his car, so I guess he’d be my teacher. The only thing I lack is a car to practice on.

I had two friends who took me out, one a time or two in his 2004 Hyundai Elantra sedan, and another in his 2006 Honda Accord.  :)

My l ife was changed when I owned a manual Renegade. I know, it sounds weird to say. But that car was so much fun.
